Remembrance Day

On Remembrance Day, we like to remember all the people who have risked their lives for ours.  We also take time to remember or think how hard their lives must have been. In our school, we have a choir called School of Rock.  For Remembrance Day the choir sang Rise up and Highway of Heroes.  If you would like to hear these songs, check out my other posts.

Rise Up

Here's the other song:
Rise Up- EddieVedder
School of Rock did not actually sing this one!

Highway of Heroes

Here is the link:
Highway of Heroes!-The Trews
Note:These are not the ones School of rock sang)

Remembrance Day!!!

I hope you guys know how Remembrance Day is coming up, so I decided to post the poem In Flanders's Field:

In Flanders Field the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch, be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In
 Flanders fields.
